Abstract

Objective To explore the effect and role of the new combined turn pad and the traditional triangular turn pad for patients with pressure ulcers of stage II and III in the clinical application. Methods A total of 53 cases of eligible patients were divided into the control group and the experimental group according to the order of admission.There were 26 cases in the control group, with 30 pressure ulcers, who used the triangular turn pad.And there were 27 cases in the experimental group, with 30 pressure ulcers, who used the combined turn mat.The patients were turned over once per 2 hours, and the act was repeated for 15 days.Then the efficacy of the two groups of patients was compared. Results The difference in terms of the treatment efficiency rate between the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant (P<0.05). The difference in terms of time for curation between the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Combined turn mat is shown significant curative effect for the treatment of pressure ulcers at stage II and III, which is a useful nursing instrument and is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
