Research on the application of Lingnan traditional building materials in modern architecture design

Abstract

With the rapid development of the economy in our country, modern new materials and new technologies have emerged, which have gradually replaced the use of traditional building materials as well as related technologies. However, as the most intuitionistic embodiment and cultural carrier in architectural design and expression, the congenial construction materials will inevitably reduce the architectural diversity and cultural connotation and gradually disappear the regional differences. Based on this, this paper explores the application and renewal of traditional building materials in modern times and combines traditional building materials with modern technology to better reflect the regional culture of Lingnan architecture. Finally, the application suggestions of Lingnan traditional materials in modern design are summarized.
