Abstract
According to the requirements of straight driving performance on hydrostatic transmission with tracked vehicle, the straight driving control strategy is proposed to meet the reasonable realization of the driver's intention and the expected average speed in different modes such as high speed, low speed and speed synchronization during straight forward driving. The controller controls the variable pump and variable motor displacement with a fuzzy PID controller. The simulation results show that the accelerator pedal defined as vehicle speed can be used as a basement of speed control strategy with Matlab software. Based on the system pressure and engine load limit, real time adjustment of pump and motor displacement and control objectives of motor speed, can be obtained through the fuzzy PID closed-loop control system to meet the needs of vehicle driving. The synchronization control simulation shows that the synchronization method proposed in this paper can meet the requirements of vehicle forward driving stability.
