Abstract
With the continuous increase in the number of motor vehicles, the difficulty of parking has become one of the main reasons for traffic congestion. The construction of urban public parking lot is the focus of improving the relationship between parking supply and demand and thus improving the traffic capacity. Parking demand forecasting is the first step in the planning and construction of parking lot. Based on the total forecast model, combining with the idea of traffic district division, using the data of population and motor vehicle ownership, this paper studies the parking space of public parking lot, and takes Wuchang as an example for experimental analysis. The experimental results show that when the district division and related data are fine enough, the parking lot demand prediction can also preliminarily realize the parking lot location analysis, which provides a reference for public parking demand prediction and parking location planning.
