Abstract
Major highway engineering projects have the characteristics of the large-scale, long construction period, and huge numbers of people involved. As social development faces more and more factors that affect social stability, its social stability risk assessment has also attracted more and more attention. This article is aimed at major highway engineering projects, based on the relevant regulations of national risk management and the basic framework of social stability risk assessment generally implemented at home and abroad. Take risk investigation, risk identification, risk estimation, risk prevention and mitigation measures, the expected risk level after the measures are implemented, and the conclusion of risk analysis as the research ideas. Take the Quanzhou-Nanning Expressway (G72) Guangxi Guilin-Liuzhou Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project as an example to conduct a social stability risk analysis. Finally, 10 main risk factors were identified. The comprehensive evaluation index of social stability risk was changed from 0.338 to 0.152 through preventive and mitigating measures. The impact of risk factors is minimized. The research content can provide a basis for corresponding strategies, and at the same time provide a reference to the social stability risks assessment of major highway projects.
