Abstract

In this paper, loss equivalent models of power electronic elements are built to discuss the power loss and efficiency of power electronic systems in real-time simulation. Based on element's dynamic characteristic and loss theory, loss equivalent models which include power switch, inductor and capacitor are established. A real-time simulation circuit of boost converter is tested and compared with the actual boost converter to confirm the reliability and accuracy of the simulation circuit with loss equivalent models. Finally, a multi-DC/DC real-time simulation circuit of multi-fuel cell hybrid system is implemented using loss equivalent models, which simulates the circuit realistically and provides a great deal of help for the research of system controller.
