Abstract

AbstractPassenger flow distribution is imbalanced in subway network, which causes great difficulty in train schedule planning and passenger organization. To optimize the train schedule and passenger flow organization in whole subway network, passenger distribution has to be investigated in subway network based on analysis of transport capacity, interaction between transfer lines. To grasp the distribution of passenger flow in the subway network, firstly, the generalized cost function of metro network is established; then, a balanced passenger flow distribution model in the subway network is built based on the Wardrop balance principle, and Frank-Wolfe algorithm (F–W algorithm) to solve the model; finally, a case of Shanghai subway during peak hours is given to verified the model of passenger flow distribution.KeywordsPassenger flow distributionSubway networkWardrop balance principleFrank-Wolfe algorithm
