Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Parental Coping with Children’s Negative Emotions (CONES), Children’s Emotion Regulation Ability (ERA), and the moderating effect of Children’s Temperament type between the two. SPSS25.0 software is a commonly used data analysis software characterized by robust, simple operation and straightforward interface. GraphPad Prism9 is a leading data analysis and visualization software that combines biostatistics, curve fitting, and scientific and technical mapping and is widely used in the biological, medical, social, and physical sciences. In this study, the data were processed using correlation analysis, ANOVA methods, and PROCESS3.4. The results indicate that: 1) PSR were significantly and negatively associated with L/N in children, and the differences in PSR were significant for both Difficult and Easy, and Difficult and Intermediate; 2) PNSR were significantly and positively associated with L/N in children, but there were no significant differences in PNSR among the four temperament types of children; 3) Significant differences in L/N in children were found between Difficult and Easy, Difficult and Slow, and Difficult and Intermediate; 4) Children with Easy and Intermediate showed more emotion regulation behaviors and better during negative emotions; 5) The significant interaction of PNSR with Temperament type on L/N in children supports the moderating effects of temperament.
