Abstract

At present, the expansion of the output performance of the piezoelectric pump is a research hotspot. This paper presents a valve-less piezoelectric pump with double cone-shaped tubes. First of all, by analyzing the working processes and calculation formulas, the efficiency is higher and the output performances are better when the ratio of the forward and reverse pressure loss coefficient is larger. Moreover, a series of valve-less piezoelectric pump with the parameters of the number of cone-shaped tube at single, double and triple, the diameter (M) of the diffuser at 6.5 mm, 7.0 mm, 7.5 mm, 8.0 mm and 8.5 mm, the angle (A) at 15°, 17.5°, 20° and 22.5° are fabricated. At last, the output flow rate and pressure are tested. The results show that the output flow rate reaches a maximum of 146.4 mL/min at the parameters of double cone-shaped tubes, the diameter (M) 7.0 mm and the angle (A) 20° under the driving voltage 220 V and a frequency 68 Hz, the highest pressure is 520 Pa, the efficiency ( $$\eta$$ ) is largest.
