Abstract

In this study, the meshing dynamic model of spur gear is established. Firstly, the relationship between center distance variation caused by geometric eccentricity, assembly error and shaft bending deformation and gear meshing parameters such as pressure angle, backlash and meshing stiffness is established. Secondly, under the dynamic condition, the dynamic model of the gear pair is established by calculating the backlash and meshing stiffness. Finally, a 6-DOF dynamic model including geometric eccentricity and pressure angle is generated. The numerical results show that the dynamic responses predicted by different models are significantly different. There is a significant coupling effect between gear meshing parameters and dynamic response. In a large range of torque and speed, there are differences between the meshing forces, especially in the main resonance speed and 1/3 of the speed.
