Abstract

In view of the problem of large antenna weight reduction, this paper introduces the sandwich structure design of composite antenna. At present, there are mainly hot press forming methods and tooling with vacuum bag forming methods for small composite sandwich structure antenna forming methods. Due to the size limitation of the hot press table, it is not very practical for large composite sandwich antennas; after the vacuum bag is formed, the surrounding of the antenna will be slightly collapsed due to uneven pressure, and it needs to be processed later. Aiming at the sandwich structure of large composite antennas, this paper proposes a molding process method of mold pressing with oven curing. By adopting the molding process method of mold pressing with oven curing, selecting special composite materials, adhesive film and special mold, the technological problems of laying, bonding and molding of large composite sandwich structure are solved. The processed antennas meet the electrical performance requirements. It also provides a reference for lightweight manufacturing of large radar antenna.
