Abstract

In this paper, composition and characteristics of queueing system as well as M/M/s model are introduced, the composition of fire fighting and rescue system along with elements of its M/M/s model is discussed, the direct decision method and the probability decision method are presented to judge the lower limit of the quantity of city fire fighting vehicle marshalling, analysis procedures and methods of judging the above lower limit are summarized, application analysis is made according to actual data of receive-disposal alarm in a certain city in one year, applicability of M/M/s queueing model in fire fighting and rescue system is verified and conclusion is drawn by means of discriminant analysis. This decision method can be used to analyze the status of fire fighting vehicle, that is whether it is busy or not, conclude the degree to meet minimum requirements of the quantity of city fire fighting vehicle marshalling, and provide scientific foundation for government departments on planning construction of fire fighting equipment and strengthening building of fire fighting force.
