Research on key points of highway design based on life cycle

Abstract

Highway is an important part of the transportation system. Design is the first link of highway engineering construction. The whole life cycle of a highway is considered in the design stage, and it is designed in full combination with the different characteristics of Highway Engineering in each stage so that the highway engineering can be carried out based on the established design scheme in the process of construction, use, operation, and maintenance to effectively predict and control the social and economic benefits that can be realized in the life cycle of highway engineering. Based on clarifying the basic concept of highway engineering life cycle, this paper puts forward the key points of highway design under the concept of the life cycle.
