Abstract
With the development of the power system, the dynamic characteristics of the power grid become more and more complicated. And the interaction between the AC and DC power grid is enhanced significantly. The electromechanical transient simulation and electromagnetic transient simulation have been shown to be insufficient in the aspects of Large-scale power system simulation. In this paper, the basic principles and key technologies of electromagnetic transient simulation and electromechanical transient simulation of power system are introduced. The Advanced Digital Power System Simulator (ADPSS) and the modeling process of the power system are introduced in detail. In order to accurately study the dynamic characteristics of UHVDC transmission system, based on the UHV AC and DC transmission system, the model of the electromagnetic-electromechanical transient hybrid simulation and the electromechanical transient simulation were built in the Advanced Digital Power System Simulator (ADPSS). And the simulation and the analysis of the fault happening at the AC connecting bus of the rectifier and inverter are carried out. The simulation results show that the electromagnetic transient process of large-scale power grid can be analyzed effectively based on the model of the electromagnetic-electromechanical transient hybrid simulation. The rapidly transient process of the UHV AC and DC transmission system can be researched in the platform of ADPSS and the actual operation situation of UHV AC / DC system can be more truly reflected.
