Abstract

In order to enhance the dynamic reactive power support capacity of new energy grids and the ability of new energy to connect to the grid, increase the stability level of the transient voltage of the grid and reduce the risk of DC commutation failure. Therefore, a certain number of dynamic reactive power compensation devices are deployed in key stations of the power grid. By analyzing the transient voltage stability characteristics of new energy high-capacity power grids and the key links affecting voltage stability issues , a method for configuring dynamic reactive power compensation device based on voltage-reactive sensitivity to improve the transient voltage stability characteristics. An example simulation verification was performed in the Tibet Power Grid. Using the proposed method, the installation position of reactive power compensation was determined. With the goal of optimal control, the compensation device was determined by simulation as a synchronous capacitor and its rated capacity.
