Abstract

Corpus linguistics is a discipline that has emerged in recent years as a product of the continuous development of the information age. It has the potential to revolutionize the current teaching mode of university English and innovate teaching methods. The application of corpus linguistics has pointed out a new direction for English teaching and has provided new development opportunities for the discipline in the context of deepening education. Based on this, the article delves into an in-depth discussion of corpus linguistics and English teaching. It briefly introduces corpus linguistics and its disciplinary status, discusses its impact on university English teaching, and proposes suggestions for the application of corpus linguistics to address the problems brought about by the traditional English teaching mode. It is hoped that the research presented in this paper will serve as a valuable reference for related industries.
