Abstract

The concept of Outcome-based Education runs through the certification of engineering education. It is of great practical significance to adopt the concept of Outcome-based Education in the reform of college English teaching in engineering colleges. This article focuses on the three teaching links of college English teaching goals, college English teaching methods, and college English teaching outcome evaluation, studies its realization form under the concept of Outcome-based Education, and constructs college English teaching goals that meet job needs and professional characteristics, new college English teaching methods combining the Internet technology and diversified learning outcome evaluation methods oriented in results, and explores new feasible college English teaching schemes led by the Outcome-based Education concept, to help college English curriculum reform.
