Abstract

Traditional calculation method of renewable energy accommodation capacity is insufficient to consider the characteristics of renewable energy. In view of this problem, a calculation method of renewable energy accommodation capacity based on probabilistic production simulation is proposed in this paper. It takes the characteristics of intermittent, randomness and volatility of renewable energy power generation into account and realizes the calculation and analysis of electric power and energy balance after integrating large-scale renewable energy, such as wind power and PV. By simulating the real operation modes, this method can not only guarantee the reliable operation of power system, but also fully accommodate the renewable energy power. First, the existing problems of traditional methods and algorithm is analyzed, and then a new calculation method is proposed. The steps of this calculation are described in detail. Finally, according to the data of a province in China, this method is used to carry out an example analysis of wind power and PV accommodation capacity, which proves the effectiveness of this method.
