Abstract

A simulation method that uses discrete event simulation for availability evaluation of Surface-to-Air missile weapon systems is presented. The method uses the R&M&S data at subsystem level and the information about system topology to infer the availability information at system level by modeling the operating process of weapon system. The point and interval estimates for system availability were obtained. The example illuminated that the method is effective for availability evaluation of Surface-to-Air missile weapon systems.
