Abstract

As an essential part of energy internet, microgrids with renewable sources arise rapidly in recent decades to meet the power requirements and solve environmental problems. In this paper, a novel bus voltage control strategy for power management system in DC microgrid with photovoltaic (PV) generation and energy storage system is proposed. System configuration and control methods of all devices are given. Aiming at stabilizing the bus voltage in every possible situation, operation modes and switching criteria under normal and abnormal operating conditions are discussed in detail. Through receiving operation information and issuing commands from central controller, the system can switch to certain operation mode automatically. Finally, a DC microgrid model is built in MATLAB/Simulink platform and experimental results are shown to validate the feasibility of this voltage control strategy.
