Abstract

It is shown that diamond burnishing of polished specimens made of ВСт3сп and 10Г2С1 steels with different surface hardness has almost no effect on their yield strength and strength (increase in strength is ≈1 %). Diamond burnishing of 15ХГ2СМФР and 12ГН2МФАЮ steels increases their yield strength and strength by 6÷10 %, and the plastic properties of steels decrease by 5÷12 %. Diamond burnishing increases the surface hardness of the studied steels by 36 %. Keywords: structural steels, diamond burnishing, maximum strength, yield strength, hardness. qesheng.hamzayeva@mail.ru
