Abstract

This article is devoted to the urgent issue of welding metals and alloys that are widely used in modern aerospace industry. The paper describes the effect of the degree of rarefaction of the controlled atmosphere on the quality of protection of the weld metal and the weld zone, as well as on the change in the geometric parameters of the weld during arc welding in a controlled atmosphere. The main advantages of arc welding in a controlled atmosphere of refractory, heat-resistant, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant metals and their alloys are indicated. The welding modes used and the welds obtained with these modes are presented. The influence of the degree of rarefaction on the change in the quality of protection of the weld metal and the heat-affected zone is described. The degree of rarefaction of the controlled atmosphere ranged from 200 to 1000 mbar. Dependencies are obtained that describe the effect of the degree of rarefaction on the geometric parameters of welds.
