Abstract

This paper focuses on the reinforced excitation scheme for the switched reluctance generator (SRG) operating in a low-voltage and wide-speed range system. From the operational principle of SRG discussed, it can be seen that the key element to SRG generating is the reasonable and sufficient excitation. So the reinforced excitation scheme is addressed and proved by the tests of an SRG system.
