Abstract
This article examines the feasibility of using decision support systems in modern medicine, literature review of presented problems and loss statistics is conducted. The main approaches, tools and principles of development of intelligent systems are also outlined; existing DSS are analyzed, their disadvantages are highlighted and solutions to elimination of common mistakes during development of decision support systems are given

Summary
This article examines the feasibility of using decision support systems in modern medicine, literature review of presented problems and loss statistics is conducted. Сучасний рівень розвитку інформаційних технологій дозволяє ставити і вирішувати завдання створення та впровадження різних систем підтримки прийняття рішень (СППР), в тому числі, і для ідентифікації об'єктів або їх станів. Саме для таких задач повинні використовуватися системи підтримки прийняття рішень. Даний недолік є найбільш значущим і перешкоджає повсюдного використання СППР в медицині, оскільки стає неможливим наповнювати систему новими знаннями про методики лікування та діагностики захворювань, лікарських препаратах та ін.
