Abstract
An all fiber front end was developed based on a 1064-nm DFB laser oscillator. The pulse was shaped by a waveguide amplitude modulator droved by a 10 GS/s arbitrary waveform generator. Amplified by fiber amplifiers and Nd:YAG rod amplifiers, the signal was then frequency-converted to 532 nm by temperature controlled LBO crystal with more than 10-mJ energy. Finally, the 532 nm green laser was coupled to a 1 mm-core large mode fiber to propagate to the imaging VISAR. The laser system could realize accurate pulse shaping with intensity contrast above 100:1 and time resolution below 100 ps.
