Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of Chinese medicine nursing intervention on community diabetes patients in order to improve their quality of life. Methods 216 non- hospitalized community diabetic patients with clear diagnosis were divided into the experimental group and the control group with 108 cases in each group. The experimental group was given medication treatment and health ed-ucation as well as Chinese medicine intervention, the control group was only given medication treatment ac-cording to doctors' advice, the body weight index, biochemical index, medical compliance rate and their changes with time were compared after 6,12,18,24 months of follow-up. Results after two-year follow-up, the body mass index, blood glucose and HbAlc of both groups declined, the experimental group was lower than the control group, patients compliance of both groups increased, blood pressure change of both groups was not obvious, the difference was not significant. Conclusions Long-term implementation of Chinese medicine nursing on diabetes patients have significant effect, which is worthy of wide application in the community.
