Abstract
A brief introduction is given on the history and present situation of the research and development of the computer applications in the Chinese shipbuilding industry.Several systems developed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation are expounded in the scopes of their architectures, functions, implementations and applications.Finally, the future research target of the computer applications for Chinese shipbuilding industry is described from the author's point of view.
