Research and application of blockchain technology in transport logistics

Abstract

Today, in an information-secure world, it's easy to find any information on blockchain technology: blogs, forums, conference reports and articles in scientific journals. The continuous development of blockchain technology and the digital cryptographic boom are of interest to people in diverse fields, so researchers have conducted in-depth research into the use of blockchain technology in industry and in other aspects of our lives. The article investigates the application of blockchain technology in the modern transport logistics system. Today, despite the general availability of the Internet, the process of freight transportation remains far from ideal due to the complexity of the interaction between the links of the chain, which includes logistics, customers, recipients, state and intermediary structures, etc. The introduction of technological innovations to increase transparency in the transport industry is supported by a number of logistics companies. In the course of the study, about 17 international companies successfully using blockchain technology in transport logistics were found. The research has proven that blockchain technology can effectively address the risk of intermediary trust in the trading chain, reduce transaction costs and increase synergy efficiency in a multi-agent environment. The paper discusses the feasibility of using blockchain technology for transport logistics and also investigates the impact of blockchain technology on the system existing in transport logistics.
