Abstract

Methods of improving the efficiency of public transport operation were presented. An ergatic transport system was defined and key factors influencing the efficiency of its operation were indicated. The analysis of influence factors with their features and characteristics was given. Experimental studies investigating efficiency parameters of service of M2 vehicle category according to the uniformity of movement in conditions of different traffic flow density were carried out. The graphic representation of the traffic flow influence on driving manner of public transport driver on a city route was presented. According to the results of experimental research, the shares of acceleration and slowing of the bus on the section of the city route were determined. The scheme of arrangement of the basic set of equipment for improvement of information provision of the driver is presented. A list of the main individual driver features that play an important role in driving a vehicle. Possible directions for further theoretical and experimental research were outlined.
