Abstract
Manufacturing industry follows various attempts to reduce time and cost expences for NC-data generation. An idea likely to be successful is the integration of comfortable programming tools in an overall data flow concept. In the present paper a new NC-language will be proposed as programming tool. Today's situation concerning NC-data generation is examined by the analysis of existing programming methods and NC-relevant interface standards. Requirements on future concepts are defined and the integration of the proposed language in an overall data flow concept based on the international interface specification STEP is explained.
