Abstract
The original aim of Architecture Language AL was designing, describing, testing/verifying and programming parallel computer architecture on different hardware, firmware and software levels. Basic ideas are modularity and the data flow concept. Modularity makes possible independent examination of different units without taking their levels into consideration. From modules new ones can be constructed according to the data flow principle [3].
