Abstract

The study looks at the reproductive health behaviour and associated problems of street children, using some Ibadan markets and taxi parks as a case study. The study employed the use of surveys, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to collect information from street children and significant others in their environment. The findings reveal that street children in Ibadan engage in risky sexual behaviour, maintain multiple sex partners and rarely use condoms. As a result, street children are at a great risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS.
