Abstract
The article discusses various aspects of the reproduction of human potential by the modern education system in Russia and other countries. The author presents a theoretical overview of the positions of researchers writing about human potential, its formation and development, and the influence of the organization of the educational process on it. The author analyses the volumes of current and recent education financing in different countries, trends related to the financing of higher education, and the number of students. The importance of the development of lifelong education for human potential and the features of its financing are considered.
