Abstract

The reproducibility of low temperature capacitance thermometers made of (Pb0.45Sn0.55)2P2Se6 crystal was studied upon temperature cycling. The thermometers show good reproducibility (better than the measurement resolution) upon cycling below 1 K. Some instability observed at rapid temperature variations during the cooling of the thermometer from temperatures above 120 K is attributed to the non equilibrium relaxation of the incommensurate modulation pinned by defects.
