Abstract

The present research focuses on the impact of images on the subjective and social construction of people, more specifically in relation of the ways of existing as a woman, and on how the teaching of visual arts can work in this sense as well as on the deconstruction of meanings. The objective is to analyze how the representations of bodies can be suffocating and at the same time to discuss how the artistic production of women can free us from such chains and show us new possibilities of existence, through selfpresentation.
