Abstract

This paper seeks to present an overview of current studies developed by researchers from different institutions associated to International Center of Studies on Social Representations and Subjectivity - Education (CIERS-ed) hosted in Fundacao Carlos Chagas, which turned to psychosocial background of social representations theory, while articulate with others approaches, aiming to think about the complexity of teacher's work. The investigations brought in here, under the Unesco Chair on Professional Development of Teachers based on CIERS-ed, reveals, as theoretical instrument and methodological, the social representations theory has been allowing a psychosocial study of education and also enable the understanding of the built of teacher's subjectivity and, above all, the power of changeful of education.
