Abstract
This report has been prepared by the Chairman of the Committee, to inform Members of the Section of Terrestrial Magnetism and Electricity of the activities of the Committee to date. It is not to be construed as a report of the Committee.The Special Committee on Units was authorized by the Section in 1941 [see Minutes, “References” at end of Report], Through oversight, it was not appointed at that time, and it was again authorized in 1942. It was actually appointed early in 1943, and hence has been in existence about three years. The Members of the Committee are H, H. Howe (Chairman), F. C. Farnham, H. T. Stetson, E. H. Vestine, and Frank Wenner.
