Abstract
We appreciate the insightful comments on our report. The Shang Ring was invented by Dr. Jianzhong Shang in 2008 and has been widely used worldwide. The procedure has been playing an important role in preventing the spread of human immunodeficiency virus in Africa. Related researches have received much attention in China and abroad. Circumcision using the Shang Ring is safe and easy to operate, with less bleeding, minimal trauma, and no visible scar after healing. However, the description in the introduction was about the outcome in adult patients.
