Abstract
• Tavani et al. discard our tectonic interpretation of the Burgalesa Platform and propose two irreconcilable models • Their models contain poor stratigraphic analysis, misinterpreted borehole data, and line-length and area balance problems • Our model is coherent with the data in the Burgalesa Platform and the regional geology of the Cantabrian Mountains • We have addressed each of the issues raised by Tavani et al. and have found no reason to modify our original interpretation
