Abstract
This paper focuses on reparations for human rights violations claimed by individuals under international law. It discusses the purposes of reparation by providing a brief overview of its evolution in international law; explores a concept, features, forms of reparation, and its legal framework. The paper concludes by flagging and analysing some of the current debates and unsettled issues in international law with regard to reparations for human rights violations.
