Abstract
This study analyzed religious marriage patterns among Australian couples. Results obtained by log-linear modeling techniques indicated that husbands and wives tend to choose conjugal partners with religious identifications, or non-identifications, identical to their own. Homogeneity along religious and non-religious lines is a characteristic feature of Australian marriage patterns. This pattern is strongest among Other Protestants, notably weaker among Catholics, Liberal Protestants, and Independents, and weakest of all among Anglicans.
