Abstract

Abstract The reliability of the 600-yd. run-walk from the AAHPER Youth Fitness Test was studied by having 46 girls and 71 boys of grade 11 perform the test at two different times. The results of the two tests were correlated and the difference between the two tests were tested for significance with t-ratio technique. Eighty-five percent of those taking this test also participated in the previously reported junior high school test in 1960. The junior high school and senior high school results were compared. There was no significant difference in the scores on the two tests at the senior high school level. The coefficient of correlation was lower at the senior high school level than it was at the junior high school level. The difference between the senior and junior high school correlations was significant.
