Abstract

This paper describes, the basic distribution system reliability evaluation techniques using analytical and time sequential simulation techniques. It explains application of these methods to bus 2 of RBTS systems for reliability evaluation by calculating the basic system and load point reliability indices. Using generation of random numbers, determination of failed load point and probability distributions of the element parameters are presented. It also brings out the variation in the expected customer outage costs using analytical techniques. It includes the effect of the application of the repair duration distributions on the expected customer outage cost and the probability distributions of the reliability indices.
