Abstract

Uncertainty factors such as unavoidable weather conditions and aging of components with time-varying process are compositely considered in the paper in reliability evaluation of distribution system. A method of distribution system reliability evaluation is introduced by considering uncertainty factors combined with sequential Monte-Carlo simulation method. Reliability and economic indices of load points and system can be calculated. Reliability of IEEE-RBTS-bus5 system is evaluated in the paper, which can illustrate different effects on reliability indices for weather environments and component aging factors. The results of reliability evaluation considering uncertainty factors may be in line with practical situation, which supports references of decision analysis for operating planners.
