Abstract

Renewable energy is energy that can be produced from natural resources. Sunlight, wind, air, ocean waves, biomass, and geothermal are some examples of renewable natural resources. Solar power plants are one of the technological breakthroughs in the field of power generation. The application of solar power plants on the roof is one of the government's efforts to implement energy conservation in building architecture. The Government of Brebes Regency wants to participate in the development of renewable energy so that there is a plan for a solar power plant in the planning of the Brebes Expo & Convention Building. This research was conducted to determine the reliability value of the generation system sourced from solar power plants with the fault tree analysis method. Based on the reliability analysis of the solar power plant system with an on-grid system, it is a reliable system with a reliability value of 99.6% within one day of operation with an operation time of 1 day 8.5 hours. The reliability of the solar power plant system in 1 year is based on the failure rate with a time of 3102.5 hours and at a value of 92%.
