Abstract

The system of gas pipelines of medium and high pressure supplies low pressure to the distribution network through gas control points.Gas networks of high and medium pressure are the upper hierarchical level of the city gas distribution system. In cities ring gas pipelines are adopted. All urban gas distribution systems are calculated on a given pressure drop. Gas enters the city under a certain pressure and must be maintained not lower than a given value. When calculating ring networks, it is necessary to keep a reserve of pressure to increase the capacity of the system during emergency hydraulic modes. Such modes occur when the head sections of the network are turned off. In this paper, various ways of providing gas consumers at disconnection of sections of gas pipelines of medium and high pressure were examined.
