Abstract

The article is devoted to improving the sustainable operation of low and medium pressure gas pipelines. The regularity of the formation of a frozen mixture of water with hydrocarbons (ice) inside gas pipelines is revealed. It was determined that gas reduction points are the most likely places for the formation of ice plugs in gas pipelines, and the reason is the operating conditions of pressure regulators. A constructive solution is proposed to avoid the formation of hydrates freezing. A method has been developed for calculating the length of a high (medium) pressure gas pipeline laid below the freezing depth.
