Abstract

This paper focuses on a comparison of relaxation methods for the co-simulation schemes for coupled problems with application to coupled electromagnetic field and power-electronic simulations. A co-simulation framework between a finite element (FE) and circuit (CIR) solvers is done using the multilevel-Newton waveform relaxation (WR) schemes whose convergence depends of the kind of transmission coupling conditions (TCCs) on the interface between the sub-problems. The convergence of TCCs is studied on a boost and an LLC resonant converters.
