Abstract

The relaxation of two-level systems (TLS) in amorphous solids shows an anomalous behavior at low temperatures, usually associated with the long-range TLS interaction. It is demonstrated that under the standard experimental conditions the interaction induced relaxation is strongly affected by the probe field. Our results describe the relaxation in the broad experimentally relevant range of parameters and help to understand and interpret the number of experiments.
