Abstract

Photoionization cross sections and angular electron distribution parameters in the photoionization of the subvalent shells of Kr and Xe atoms are calculated. The configuration interaction theory and the perturbation theory are used for describing the many-electron effects. Relativistic effects are taken into account in the Pauli-Fock approximation. The necessity is shown to take into account simultaneously many-electron and relativistic effects in the description of the photoionization of the outer shells in the near-threshold region.
